Critical Care Doctor - Private Sector 

Pertemps Medical are currently recruiting for a critical care specialist to be based in the private sector. You would be working with the world’s largest private healthcare organisation. They are the only private healthcare group to have level 3 units across the group. Their facilities are well equipped with first class technologies, treatment and Therapies, offering a range of flexible working opportunities with the choice of full or part time. 

You will be able to develop your career further if you are interested in further education within this role. The hospital are able to support you through funded PhDs, medical research or Masters in Medical Leadership. 

Location: Central London
Salary: As this is based in the private sector the salary is competitive and negotiable 
Contract: Permanent, available on a full time or part time basis

About the role
Resident Doctors will typically work in the Intensive Care Unit but they also provide wider outreach support to the hospital as part of the emergency medical team. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently within their skill set to review and treat inpatients and formulate plans under guidance with the Consultant in Charge. 

Summary of Duties

To undertake certain medical procedures as required including vascular access e.g. insertion of central venous catheter/vascaths, insertion of arterial lines, intubation, management of tracheostomies, chest/abdominal drain insertion, lumbar puncture, management of acute pain/epidural catheters, use of ultrasound, ventilation management etc, medical escort for transfer of ventilated patients in the hospital or occasionally interhospital/external transfers as required in the Critical Care department.
Our Critical Care Doctors are responsible for complex airway management and team leadership as part of the hospital emergency response team, additionally you will also be involved in clinical audits and enhancing patient experience, patient outcomes and ways of working. 

Requirements

MBBS medical qualification
GMC registration and current licence to practice
Evidence of specialist training in intensive care medicine (Critical Care/ITU and Anaesthesia)
FRCA, MRCP and/or MRCEM are desirable.
