The Community Dental Service is looking to recruit qualified and GDC registered Dental Nurses to join our current team.
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and adaptable Dental Nurses to join us:
The special care dental team at Shrewsbury are looking for a dedicated Dental Nurse, to join their team. The role will include clinical sessions dealing with patients with additional needs, domiciliary care, Conscious Sedation and General Anaesthetics at RSH/PRH/RJAH Theatres. The successful candidate may be required to work at other locations from time to time.
What we will offer the successful candidate.
Sedation training with SAAD (or similar)
Enhanced clinical induction; to include experiencing all aspects of our clinical practice.
One to one training and support.
Clinical Supervision and support with Enhanced CPD required by GDC.
Mandatory Training package to include: Immediate Life Support Training, Infection Control, Information Governance, Manual Handling & others.
Craven Arms Dental is situated in scenic South Shropshire; it is a one surgery practice providing general dental practice to the local community. Our team require an experienced dental nurse Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to complete their team. The successful candidate may be required to work at other locations from time to time.
The successful applicants will have excellent clinical and communication skills and be committed to team working. You will also have some administrative and clerical duties within the department, and will be responsible for ensuring that dental care is provided safely and to a high standard. Dental Nurses have responsibilities for the decontamination process in line with HTM01-05 guidelines.
We provide special care dentistry across three sites, for adults and children in a variety of settings including:
Community dental clinics; Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Dawley,
Hospitals (General Anaesthetic),
Community Dental Service also provides;
Emergency Dental Service; Shrewsbury & Oswestry.
Community Dental Service offers an out of hours emergency dental service (OOHEDS) within Shropshire and dental nurses take part in evening on-call alongside a dentist on a rotational basis. OOHEDS weekend sessions are currently offered at two sites.
Applicants will be required to meet the travel commitments of the post.
*** Important information regarding DBS checks *** If the position being applied for requires a DBS check to be undertaken on you, you are required to pay the fee for the DBS check which is £50.00 for an Enhanced check and £30.00 for a Standard check
