Full Time Receptionist/Patient Co-Ordinator in Maida Vale

We are currently looking for an experienced receptionist/patient co-ordinator to join our lovely team based in Maida Vale, West London. Hours available are: Monday - Friday 8:15am – 5:30pm and two Saturdays a month 09:15am – 3:30pm.

Job purpose

Ensure efficient and effective communication between patients and dental professionals. Ensure that the Reception desk is organised in an efficient manner and patients are looked after during their visit to the practice and during their dental journey.

Reception/Patient Co-Ordinator

Welcome all patients arriving at the practice and building a relationship with our patients

Answer the telephone in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner.

Ensure that the appointment system is efficient and accurate

Collect information from patients relevant to their treatment and individual needs

Collect and record patient payments

Monitoring new patients and referral source

Maintaining and increasing the patient base

Administration and finance

Ensure that patient records are completed correctly, that consent forms and medical history forms are signed and that these are scanned into their files correctly.

Complete and return relevant forms for private schemes within a specified timescale

Encourage prompt payments and chase outstanding debts according to the practice policy

Liaise with dental laboratories, supply companies and other organisations as required

Send out patient recalls

Compile day sheets

Keep the office, reception area and waiting room clean and tidy

Organise stock supplies and control for the reception area

Undergo training as may be required to develop your skills and abilities

Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR

Assist other members of the team with the general practice chores required to keep the practice clean, tidy and up to standard.

Carry out Health and Safety checks as required.

Our private practice offers a modern surgery, fully computerised using R4 with digital x-rays and an excellent supporting team
