Band 7/£21.22 p/h | 38.5 Hrs – Days | RN/Nurse/Non-Nurse/Social Worker/Experienced HCA Considered

A leading elderly and dementia care home in the Hamilton area is currently looking to recruit an experienced health and social care professional (Nurse/HCA/Social Worker) to work as Deputy Manager and support with the day to day running of the home.

The home offers elderly frail, dementia and disability nursing care packages in a beautiful setting and has luxury facilities and a very strong team already in place.

Details of this Deputy Manager role and what the home is offering:

  • A permanent contract of 38.5 hours per week, working flexible day shifts
  • A very competitive annual salary of £42,500, which is equivalent to NHS Band 7 and an hourly rate of £21.22
  • Free uniforms

  • 5.6 weeks annual leave per year
  • Duties will be split equally between working on the floor and supernumerary tasks

As Deputy Care Home Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in all aspects of the day to day running of the home and will lead the home in their absence.  You will be responsible for managing and monitoring the planning and delivery of care and will ensure care plans and medication records are correctly updated, undertaking regular audits and supervisions.  

What we are looking for in a Deputy Manager:

  • Have completed a recognised qualification in Health and/or Social Care - a minimum of SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is required for this role and applications will be considered from Registered Nurses (RGN, RMN or RNLD), Healthcare Assistants and Care Team Leaders and Social Workers
  • Demonstrate experience in elderly care or working in older peoples’ services, with proven management experience
  • Passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable adults
  • Well organised with strong administrational, communication and leadership skills
