Deputy Nurse Manager

£19.50 per hour

Armagh, Northern Ireland

Permanent, Full time- 38.5 hours per week

Job Summary

UK Care and Nursing are currently recruiting for a Deputy Home Manager on behalf of our client within the Armagh area. Our client has numerous Care and Nursing Homes throughout the UK in addition to their luxury assisted living care homes. The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering clinical excellence and be patient, caring and able to provide a quality service to residents within a Care Home environment. You will be responsible for the provision of care, ensuring that the personal care of residents is maintained in strict accordance with their care plan. Your senior management and nursing experience will be required to run your team in addition to driving the home forward with the intake of new residents. To apply for this role, you must be a qualified registered nurse and hold a valid nmc pin.

Job Role

Our successful Deputy Home Manager will:-

• Lead your team by example

• Help contribute to achieve financial targets and control home expenditure and stock rotation

• Promote the home and actively participate in networking events to seek new, self-funding clients

• Assist in marketing special events within the home and surrounding area

• Ensure regular communication meetings take place

• Maintain a visible and high-profile presence within the home

• Help residents become independent in a safe secure environment

• Have a very patient and caring nature

• Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of new staff

• Support and deputise for the Home Manager

• Inspire and lead colleagues overseeing delivery of high-quality care

• Ensure that patients receive a high-quality service

Education, Skills and qualifications

Our Deputy Home Manager will have the following:-

• Qualified Registered Nurse

• Have excellent communication and computer skills

• Have previous managerial experience

• The ability to influence and liaise with people at all levels

• Have the relevant skills and experience for the above tasks

• Have adequate knowledge and understanding of the job role

• Be good under pressure and be able to work to deadlines

• The ability to work well with others

• Have experience in engaging with service users and their families

• Have a good understanding of Quality Assurance tools

• Have a good working knowledge of CQC standards
