Deputy Pathology Manager| Pathology | Band 6 dependent on experience | Hull | Full Time, No Nights.

Due to internal promotion, Spire Hull have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Pathology Manager to join their supportive and friendly team

Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital is based in Anlaby, near the Humber Bridge. The hospital provides care for patients across East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire. Our hospital offers a range of services and procedures including orthopaedic, general surgery, weight loss surgery, eye surgery and cosmetic surgery. Other services include, radiology - MRI and CT and physiotherapy. Duties and responsibilities:

• The post holder will be required to work closely with the Pathology Manager and other hospital services, providing an effective and efficient service
• You will be responsible for the day to day running of our laboratory and be able to manage your own area
• Address any queries coming into the department and communicate with the wider team
• Act as the Lab manager as and when required
• You will possess excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to empower and lead others, ensuring that our teams continuously strive to develop and improve services for our patients

Who we're looking for:

• A degree in Biomedical Science and HCPC registration is essential
• Experience in either Blood Sciences or Blood Transfusion
• Leadership experience
• Ideally candidates with NHS or other private healthcare organisation experience
• Previous Quality experience in Pathology
• Experience in Biochemistry is desirable
