Job Description

Mental health services

  • We provide a wide range of treatment and support to young people, adults and older people experiencing mental illness both as inpatients and within the community. This includes treatment in secure and specialised settings.

Community health services

  • Our diverse range of community health services provide support and treatment to both adults and children. We deliver this care in community hospitals, health centres, GP surgeries and in people’s homes.

Learning disabilities services

  • We provide crisis support and inpatient services and our community learning disability teams work in partnership with local councils to provide assessment and support for adults with learning disabilities.

Social care

  • We provide personalised social care support to people with a range of needs, including people with learning disabilities or mental illness, supporting people to live independently.

CHILD AND ADOLESCENT MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

CHARGE NURSE- BAND 6

INPATIENT SERVICES

The Trust has transformed the mental health services to meet the needs of the local population. As a Trust we provide excellent accommodation, within therapeutic environments, where people with mental health needs can receive the best possible care.

We are in the position to recruit a Band 6 charge nurse in our CAMHS inpatient service, providing care services for young people between the ages of 11-18 The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

An understanding of the needs of the young person and their families and carers. Providing support to the unit manager, and the multi-disciplinary team .

A commitment to work within established teams, who provide assessment and treatment in a modern purpose built unit. You will have a cheerful disposition, be helpful, co-operative, and able to meet the high standards of the Trust.

We are looking for a person who can bring commitment, reliability, enthusiasm and determination to take forward our service in new and innovative ways. In return we offer training and development of staff, support through regular supervision and appraisal, assisting you in setting realistic individual objectives.
