Job Description

Are you a qualified nurse with clinical experience? Do you have strong communication and management skills? Would you like to help lead a team making a real difference?

If so, we want to hear from you! The Priory group are looking for a new deputy ward manager to join the Preston team. The hospital cares for up to 38 patients dealing with acute mental health and eating disorders across three different units.

Responsibilities of the role:

You will need to assess patients wellbeing - evaluating care plans and making any relevant adjustments needed
Assist all those within the team, ensuring support required is provided
Building strong relationships with patients, families and colleagues
Balancing the needs of patients with the needs of your team


Qualified with a mental health nursing degree
Experience in an acute mental health environment
Minimum of 3 years post registration training
A DBS check or the ability to complete one
