To help us continue innovating unique and reliable products, we're looking for an experienced Development Formulation Scientist to join our Research & Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead formulation science and product development for Skin Disinfection pipeline products as part of a cross-functional product development team.
What will you do?
In collaboration with the cross-functional Skin Team, lead current and future technical innovations for skin, developing a pipeline of product opportunities to drive future growth
Take ownership for delivering all aspects of product research & development, from idea generation to delivery of finished products to market
Laboratory work to formulate stable, efficacious & effective Skin Disinfection products against clearly defined product briefs, with scientific excellence and on-time delivery
Laboratory testing of product performance attributes as appropriate for the product format
Ensure excellence in delivery of product performance and claims sets for Skin Disinfection, working as part of a cross-functional project with internal and external teams as appropriate
Escalate, 'trouble-shoot' and resolve issues within the development of new products in Skin and facilitate resolutions against overall project/product plan
Build strong cross-functional working relationships

What will you need?
Previous success in a similar role, formulating and delivering Skin Disinfection products to market is essential
Experience working within commercially focused FMCG, Medical Device organisation or similar environment is essential
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related subject is highly desirable
In-depth understanding of the science behind product development - surfactants, polymers, emulsion formation and stability, measurement of the physical properties of products for determination of efficacy and stability
An understanding of new product development lifecycle including relevant regulations
Ability to deliver with accuracy, focus and ownership - and on time and to budget
Ability to understand scientific programmes e.g. chemistry, microbiology and regulated categories such as medical devices, and effectively link each together for skin product research & development
Demonstrable open and collaborative style to facilitate strong stakeholder relationships
An appetite to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
