Are you interested in helping patients meet their nutritional needs? If yes, we have an interesting and varied job opportunity as a Dietetic Assistant..
This post will involve communicating with patients and ward staff to help the dietitians develop and monitor nutrition care plans for patients. As well as seeing patients on wards, the role will include regular administrative and computer tasks such as looking up records & transcribing blood results, arranging clinic appointments and keeping records. The successful candidate will work with a large team of dietitians who cover a variety of wards at Southmead Hospital including critical care and the admissions unit. Your training needs will be supported and you will link with other staff doing similar tasks within the department.
We're looking for someone who is well organised, has an ability to concentrate and work accurately and has good communication skills which can be used when speaking with a variety of patients.
The post is a full time permanent position 37.5hrs per week, with a start time of 8-8.30am each day. We would consider a job share.
