Digital Pathology Project Manager

Main purpose:

* Digital Project manager for implementation of a digital pathology system and accompanying infrastructure

* Role requires significant project management experience in leading large scale digital projects at organisational level

* The project(s) assigned to the post holder will be strategic and the post holder will be required to deal with stakeholders at all levels

* The role requires an excellent knowledge of digital systems, knowledge and understanding of underlying technical infrastructure and dependencies

Location: Southampton

Temporary: Expected to last 3 months with possible extension

Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £26.10per hour (Umbrella) or £22.70 per hour (PAYE inclusive of holiday pay)

General duties:

* Responsible for the project delivery across business and clinical areas.

* Lead the project(s), responding to business and clinical requirements and translating these into working systems

* Where required design specifications for new software, liaising between clinical teams to capture requirements and relaying to developers/product specialists/suppliers working on service design

* Contribute to the clinical governance agenda by ensuring that all project deliverables meet guidance for clinical safety for healthcare software

* Where required deliver projects that cross organisational boundaries and impact on primary and community care delivery

* Represent project(s) internally and externally where required, through meetings, presentations, training sessions and workshops as appropriate

* Ensure accurate and timely project communications are maintained internally and externally

* Liaise with software suppliers

* Maintain all project management documentation pertaining to project responsibility, including change control using PRINCE methodology.

* Maintain project information in the Verto Programme Management platform.

* Create and manage project assurance documentation including but not limited to risk and issue logs, benefits logs and lessons learned logs.

* Develop comprehensive project plan(s) to organise own and teams workload and ensure that project(s) deliver to time and budget.

* Take action to appropriately manage conflicting priorities

* Define key project controls/milestones and the monitoring of these

* Responsible for ensuring compliance with established Informatics resolution and project targets

* Visit locations as required

* May be required to work out of hours and at weekends depending on project requirements

* Perform any other task consistent with grade and experience as requested

* Adhere to policies and procedures

* Abide by the principles and legislation specified within the Data Protection Act and Information Governance
