Job Description

As the director of property care, you are responsible for every aspect of our property management team and the property portfolio our property managers look after, ensuring that our customer service is second to none.
So, what will I actually be doing?

This position is one of the most important positions within Gatekeeper and we are building an exceptional business offering a better way of managing the property and looking after our customers. Therefore our Director of Property Care needs to be exceptional!

As the Director of the Property Care Team, you would be responsible for the performance of the team. Our Property Care Team looks after and helps manage the property on behalf of our Landlords. They look after the property right from the Tenant's application all the way through to the Tenant checking out. We pride ourselves on our customer service and each
of our Landlords and Tenants have the opportunity to rate our service 3-4 times a year so as Director of the Property Care Team it would be your responsibility to ensure that your team is excelling in this area.

* Develop and Manage PCT Team to achieve agreed KPI's
* Key Account Management
* Responsible for delivery of exceptional Customer Service Standards and Productivity
* Support the Board of Directors in new initiatives and business development planning
* Monitor and manage company administration
Additionally, you will need to ensure that individuals within your team build a strong relationship with not only their Landlords and Tenants but also our field teams and third party contractors. So the ability to manage a variety of different people and relationships is vital.
As this role is responsible for looking after what is in many cases our Landlord's biggest asset it is important that you have good attention to detail and a high quality of work. We need to ensure that we safeguard our Landlord's investment.
In taking ownership of your team you would be responsible for evaluating business opportunities and personnel requirements and delivering strategies to enhance efficiency, profitability and set the direction for the department.
You will also be involved in individual projects and help shape the direction of the business.

The Role:
The nuts and bolts.

In most cases, you work Monday to Friday from eight to five thirty, but as with any senior role from time to time extra hours will be required to deliver the very best performance and service to our customers.

This role is based in our head office most of the time. The properties you look after will be within an hours drive from the office so on a 'field days' you will be required to travel a bit.

For this reason, a driving license and car are essential.

Due to the nature of the business, business dress is required at all times.

The Good…
You will enjoy a salary of between £30,000 to £40,000 depending on experience with the benefit of an individual bonus, so your OTE should be between £35,000 and £45,000, After 6 months in the job you will also get private health cover for you and your family.

Just as importantly you will receive plenty of support and training in the role, and we will spend a huge amount of time on your own personal development. (We know other companies say your development is important but we deliver it.)

The Bad…
There is a lot to juggle and you have to be super organised. You will need to be able to, look after your team's customer service performance, as well as look at potential situations that may occur and head them off before they arise.

The Ugly…
The role is hugely varied, one minute you might be in a board meeting helping to decide the strategy for the next quarter, the next you might be completing a key audit in a key drop off site.
