Environmental Chemistry Laboratory Manager
Exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Manager who is both commercially and operationally minded to manage their Chemical Laboratory.
They want someone that can maintain a great team culture and reputation that is recognised for excellent service, communications and people development.
You would attend Production Manager meetings and work in conjunction with other Department Heads as a Management Team with overall responsibility for all Group operational matters.
Develop and deliver the department budget and ensuring appropriate financial controls and understood and in place across the team.
Maintain and improve internal and external customer service.
Work with the business development team and other group functions and businesses to identify new clients and areas for growth and support with all necessary actions required of the laboratory team.
Project manage the development of the laboratory including expansion of services and all resources.
In conjunction with the business development team identify the requirements for new testing capabilities and implement plans to deliver these.
Manage the operation and development of laboratory staff by having clear succession plans in place for each team member, manage appropriate individual development plans to support this and creating a culture and environment to be proud of.
Ensuring appropriate H&S and environment standards and practices are achieved and met
