Dimensions is proud to be one of very few social care organisations that are members of the Great Places To Work programme 2019.

We are looking for night Support Workers to work across two houses, one in Walkford, Christchurch, the other in Southbourne, to cover various shifts from full time, part time and relief to suit you. We offer fantastic benefits, training and a great team environment.

In one house, the position is to support a gentleman in his home at night. The gentleman is a very kind and gentle person who has a love for music. He has learning disabilities and is a wheelchair user. He is unable to bare any weight on his feet so requires hoists for transferring. He cannot communicate verbally and but he can use noises to express happiness or sadness. He can understand a lot of what is said to him.

This gentleman requires a waking night staff to ensure his needs are met through the night, this may involve supporting with personal
care, medication or keeping him company.

In the second house, there are two ladies who live together and they share a waking night staff, as well as a sleep in staff. These ladies both have severe learning disabilities and also require hoisting and depend on wheelchairs for mobility. They require a waking night for personal care, medication (when needed) and any other additional support they may need in the night.

As a Support Worker, you'll be helping people you support to live the individual life they want, ensuring they have choice and control over the planning and delivery of their support. The role will involve supporting with personal care and also the use of wheel chairs and hoists.

We have 1 full time position or two part time position including cover for weekends.

Shifts are - 10pm - 7am

"Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act
2010."
