Field Care Supervisor – 20-23k depending on experience - 1 year Maternity Cover
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Field Care Supervisor to join our fun and well-established team at Excelcare Homecare covering Tower Hamlets in East London.
With previous experience as a Field Care Supervisor or extensive experience as a Home Care worker ready to make the next step you will be passionate about providing the highest quality care to our service users. The majority of your time will be field based supported with administration time in the office to complete necessary documents and paperwork.
This is a full time permanent position, with a fantastic company who promote within and encourage their staff to reach their full potential. Continuous training and support will be provided.
Completing care needs and risk assessments of new care packages ensuring that a person-centred care plan is implemented for each service user to achieve their goals and outcomes.
Work in partnership with service suers, their families, carers, advocates and other healthcare professionals and stakeholders to ensure individual and personalised care.
Work collaboratively with the Care Coordinators at the office to support the planning of realistic care worker rotas matching needs and skills.
Conducting supervisions, spot checks and being the lead and support in the field for the care worker team.
Shadow new care workers in the field to ensure confidence and competence.
Provide support and instruction to care workers in the field including in emergencies or if there is a reported problem.
Promote safe working practices by following company policies and procedures.
Promote understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements.
Follow up on any reported changes to service user’s condition or care needs.
Report as necessary on any accident/incident or safeguarding concerns raised.
To work on the on call rota along with the rest of the team (Paid in addition to salary)
Previous experience as a Field Care Supervisor in community care or a care worker who has considerable experience looking for the next step.
Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in Health and Social Care.
A Team player - able to support the care worker team and show genuine understanding and empathy to lone workers.
Understanding of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and requirements.
Passionate about uncompromised delivery of high quality care
Be flexible to the needs of the business as required and be involved in the delivery of care where there are staff shortages.
