General Assistant
We have opportunities in and around the Hampshire area for General Assistants to start immediately within Hampshire County Council Adult care establishments. This is an ideal role for an individual looking to make a real difference where you will be surrounded by a well-resourced multi-disciplinary team, fully supported in your determination to provide the highest quality care.
As a General Assistant you will:
Carry out general cleaning and washing, escorting residents around the home and to external appointments as well as assisting during mealtimes and supporting with laundry and kitchen responsibilities including the preparation of food.
Be empathetic and have an understanding of the needs of older people, whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Be required to adopt a flexible approach, changing work schedule at short notice, ability to use initiative and work unsupervised and support other staff.
Have an understanding of the needs for good working practices and adherence to COSHH regulations.
Be valued member of a supportive and professional team.
What we can offer you:
- Pay rate: £9.36 to £18.72 per hour depending on shift
- Flexible and consistent shifts (by working via Connect2Hampshire you will be the first to know of job opportunities before they are released elsewhere)
- Free mandatory training.
Hours per week: Various hours available, days, nights, and weekends
