Head & Neck OPD Manager
37.5 Hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Head & Neck Out patient department for a band 7 manager. This covers both Ear, Nose and Throat and Maxillo-Facial services.
This is a busy clinic dealing with numerous Head & Neck conditions including cancer, airway management, follow up clinics for routine ear, nose & throat conditions, specialised skull base services, routine dental services, deformities, general nurse & dental nurse led clinics. There is also a dedicated Audiology service that links in closely with the department and specialised Advanced Nurse Practitioner led clinics.
You will work alongside medical staff; dental core trainees, registered general & unregistered nurses; AHP’s & Specialist Nurses. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the clinic, managing registered and unregistered nurses and overseeing the budget.
You will ensure that safe staffing is in operation in order for clinics to run in a timely manner and that patients have a safe and pleasant experience while in the department. You will have previous experience in a clinical setting where you can demonstrate managerial skills, the ability to lead a team; empower and develop self and staff; and show change management and patient improvement.
You will work one clinical shift per week within the department. This is a full time post and you must have either an NMC or HPC qualification.
