Permanent - Full Time - 37 Hours Per Week. MHA are recruiting for the role of Head of Standards and Policy, reporting to our Company Secretary and General Counsel working as part of our highly skilled, but friendly Governance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to help shape the leadership and delivery of all our services across MHA and really make a difference in the lives of the people we support.The role is offered on a permanent contract, working 37 hours per week, based in Derby city centre, with the ability to work flexibly through a balance of home and office working.About the Role
The Head of Standards and Policy will take the lead in ensuring that all MHA policies are reviewed and revalidated and that they reflect current Government, Regulatory and Legal requirements and best practice. You will take the lead in maintaining best practice in all of our care policies and will develop a suite of digital care records policies to support the use of digital care plans across all of our registered settings.You will be supported by a Standards and Policy Manager (non care) who will report to you and who will lead on non care related policies across the organisation.As part of the Senior Leaders Group you will support the development and delivery of our strategy in collaboration with your SLG colleagues.Please see the attached Job Description for additional information on the role.

You will have a clinical qualification and experience of researching and drafting policies in the Health and Care sector. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to understand governance and how it influences and impacts policy development. You will be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as working well as part of a team.
