We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Health and Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs.

Job description for Health and Wellbeing Practitioner

As the Health and Wellbeing Practitioner you will provide group session interventions for clients with health and substance related issues. It is important that you utilise your specialist facilitation group work skills, knowledge and experience.

You will work closely with the team leader to help our clients better manage their physical and/or mental health and wellbeing through the services we provide.

This role is vital in improving the links between the Health and Wellbeing service and the service users within the prison.

Requirements for the Health and Wellbeing Practitioner

  • A Level 3 in Counselling is essential
  • You will be suitably qualified to deliver a therapeutic intervention
  • Knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice sector
  • Well-developed verbal skills and interpersonal group work facilitation
  • Thorough understanding of CBT (Cognitive behavioural therapy)
