Job Description

A Health Care Assistant is needed to work within a private older adult's care home within Dorchester!

Temporary Pay Rate
*Standard Days: £10.55ph ltd
*Weekend Days & Nights: £11ph ltd
*Bank Holidays: £13ph ltd

Hours and length of contract:
*Temporary - initial 3 weeks and ongoing
*Full or part time hours - part time initially
*Long days 07:15 - 20:00/08:00 - 20:00
*Early 08:00 - 14:00
*Lates 14:00 - 20:00
*Nights: 20:15 - 07:15
*The manager is looking for the position to be filled ASAP

Daily Duties:
The client is a large care charity providing specialist support to older adults and those living with dementia from early onset to advanced stages of the condition.. You will be working as part of a luxury care home consisting of 48 beds to support these older adults to live as independently as possible.

Daily duties include but are not limited to:
*Working closely with staff and tenants in promoting individual packages of care that reflect the person's chosen lifestyle
*Assisting tenants in maintaining their personal hygiene where necessary and with all aspects of personal care
*Giving medication as required
*Completing written reports and notes
*Supporting service users with care including daily living activities and an activity programme.
*Providing practical support and assistance with problems of daily living
*Undertaking individual care plans and assessments
*Recovery planning with patient focused outcomes
*Observing patient progress against planned goals and report changes in the patients' condition or care needs to a registered nurse in a timely manner
*Perform welfare/routine checks, guided by the personal support plan

Person specification:
The applicant must be DBS cleared and have recent relevant experience within the field.
