Health Care Assistant – Domiciliary


£10.00 per hour + mileage

Permanent, Full time

Job Summary

We are recruiting health care assistants for our large care provider client within the Stowmarket area. Our client operates domiciliary care throughout the UK and are currently recruiting for positions within Stowmarket and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be patient and caring and able to provide a quality service to clients within their homes whilst enabling them to lead an active and independent life. This role would suit experienced care workers, who also have a full driving licence.

Job Role

Our health care assistants will:-

• Provide a high level of care to the clients

• Assist those that require it with day to day needs such as washing, dressing, feeding.

• Assist those with mobility problems

• Ensure that the preparation, cooking and serving of food meet the required standards

• Initiate and participate in recreational activities, day trips, arts and crafts etc

• Prompt and assists the clients with their medication when required

• Ensure all documentation relevant to the client and their care plans are accurate and up to date

Education, Skills and qualifications

A successful candidate must:-

• Have previous experience in a Care Role although training will be offered

• Full driving licence

• Have excellent organisational skills and work well on your own initiative

• Be self-motivated and flexible

• Be caring, patient and compassionate

• Have excellent communication skills with a good standard of written and verbal English

• Be passionate about providing a high standard of care and can provide emotional support whilst promoting dignity and respect

• Have an excellent attendance and punctuality record
