You will have a valid NMC registration as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting). As the Health Visitor you will be a role model for the service and your colleagues.
The essential qualities we are looking for in our Health Visitor applicants are:

+ Ability to demonstrate leadership and supervisory skills e.g. understanding of managing conflict
+ Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (Health Visiting) qualification
+ To be a role model for the 3 core virgin care values and behaviours, Think Care Do, which clearly articulate what great leadership behaviours look like at each level
+ A full valid driving license and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the equality act 2010).
Working within the Bath and North East Somerset Health Visiting teams, you will
+ Fully implement the Healthy Child Programme.
+ Work within a skill mix team.
+ Work to the unicef baby friendly standards.
+ Use the Family Health Needs Assessment tool to plan and evidence care.
+ Devise and implement individualized care plans for each child based on a needs assessment, within the Health Visiting Strategy, while actively involving the child/parent/carer/family in the planning and implementation of any proposed programme of care and support.
+ Identify and assess health, growth and development in the 0-5 age range (0-19 Pathway). Advise and refer to partner agencies as appropriate.
+ Have a clear understanding of and work within the BANES Multi-Agency Child Protection Procedures and Guidelines and to identify vulnerable children and children in need of protection.
+ Use the Early Help Assessment Tool when there is unmet need identified.
+ Participate in effective partnership working with other agencies and taking a lead professional role where appropriate
+ Use evidence based practice to develop and maintain a high quality and cost effective standard for Specialist Public Health Nurse/Health Visiting practice.
You will be based in one of three locations in Bath and North East Somerset.
