Position: Healthcare Assistant (HCA)


Delight Supported Living Ltd is a Care Agency and Domiciliary Care provider in the Health & Social Care sector. Delight Supported Living Ltd, a nationwide Health Care company is seeking to recruit Health Care Assistants to work in St Albans and surrounding areas. The successful applicants will work with the ethics of the organisation which focus on ensuring that service delivery is person centred in accordance with agreed Care Plan.

Main duties & responsibilities:
* Maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting the rights of patients.
* Creating and implementing organisation procedures to maintain quality standards.
* To look after the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of the Clients using a person-centred approach.
* To observe and promote the Client's choice, independence, dignity, privacy, fulfilment and other rights.
* To actively support other care workers.
* To adhere to all regulatory and statutory obligations policies, procedures and guidelines.
* Providing personal care and continued support to clients with a wide range of needs including disabilities and illness.
* Retain knowledge of client's care and support plan.
* Proactively and continuously encourage client independence and motivation.
* Assist with toileting, washing, bathing, showering and shaving etc.
* With an awareness of client's choice and likes / dislikes, prepare food / drink for the client whilst taking into consideration their nutritional and cultural requirements.
* Being a companion to the client by talking and listening to them.
* Safely and correctly using manual handling equipment.
* Accompany clients on trips into the community.

Must have the following;
* Flexibility on potential shift placements.
