Healthcare Assistant - Thetford - Waking Nights

Better Healthcare are recruiting for Healthcare Assistants / Carers to pick up waking night shifts at a Residential Care Home located in Thetford, Norfolk.

The role is to support elderly residents both on the floor and on 1-2-1 packages, which can include dementia and palliative care.

This is an ideal opportunity to earn extra money that fits around your current commitments and all shifts are available on a flexible basis so you can choose which suits best. We understand the pressures of the role so ensure that all of our care workers are valued, respected and supported and pride ourselves on our 24/ Out-Of-Hours support team.

Shift times: Nights (Apply online only)

Pay: £9.00ph o £13.00ph

The role:

Providing personal care, domestic support and running/participating in activities in a residential setting

Promoting choice, safety and independence

To support individuals to live a life as full as possible and to engage with other residents and staff members

Provide physical and emotional support, ensuring that respect, dignity and confidentiality is maintained at all times

The candidate:

Experience of providing care and/or support to vulnerable people is preferred but not essential

Possess excellent people and communication skills

Have a passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities.

Be able to develop and maintain good working relationships

Be able to demonstrate positive personal authority.

Hold a full driving licence - advantageous but not essential
