Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients. We employ more than 6,500 staff, have approximately 900 beds and have a planned turnover in excess of £410m for 2017/2018.

The Care of the Older Person Wards (Ward 23, 25 and 26) at Blackpool Victoria Hospital are looking for bright, innovative, caring and compassionate Health Care Assistants to join their friendly team of staff who are dedicated to providing excellent patient-centred care. If you are highly motivated and committed to delivering excellent standards of patient care and will embrace our Trust values then we would love to hear from you. We look after a wide variety of older medical patients working closely as a multidisciplinary team to provide the best outcomes for each individual and their families.
In return you will be supported to progress in your career; through opportunities of training, Care Certificate completion and appraisals.
This is a fixed term position until the 1^st November 2020.
This post is fully rotational, i.e. we are unable to offer any set hours or shifts

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant/s DBS application be recovered via salary deduction following start in post. The amount of £23+£4 (standard disclosure) or £40+£4 (enhanced disclosure) can be deducted from salary, in manageable monthly installments for up to 3 months following commencement of employment.
Applicants are encouraged where possible, to register for the DBS update service, which will save the cost of repeated disclosures between employers, in return for a annual registration fee of £13.
