Rehabilitation Assistant  
Neuro Rehabilitation      
Permanent, FT - 37.5 hrs PW    
up to £21,000

Client Information:      
Our client is a specialist independent provider of neurological rehabilitation. It provides services to adults who are suffering with neurological conditions, acquired and traumatic brain injuries. They also provide long term care for people with complex, physical, cognitive and/or behavioural support needs.    
They offer a 42 single bedded inpatient facility with en-suite rooms with communal areas and gardens. With a state of the art physio gym with hydrotherapy pool they cover all aspects of the rehabilitation process. The site also has a Neuro-Rehab unit and Neuro- Behavioural unit to offer to care to patients with more complex care needs. Their service also offers different home service packages to suit individual patient's requirements.      
Our client is looking to recruit some Rehabilitation Assistants to join their expanding team. No experience is required for this role as full training will be offered to the candidates with a keen interest in working in this sector.  
Reporting into senior members of staff you will assist in the day to day deliver of care and rehabilitation to patients. You will work to enable patients to preform activities of everyday living which due to their neurological impairment they are unable to perform without assistance. This would include nutrition, mobility, personal hygiene and elimination in line with care plans whilst maintaining dignity and respect. You will also assist in the implementation of patients therapy programmes which can include educational, vocational and social and leisure activities. Other responsibilities across the site may include assisting in cleaning, completing written records where necessary, making a commitment to your on-going learning and development and contributing to service development by engaging in staff forums. Overall you will act as on ongoing support to the clinical team across the whole site, ensuring to provide a consistently high-quality service.  

To be considered for this role you will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to develop and build relationships not just with the clinical team but the service users and families. You will be able to approach all situations in a professionally and non-judgemental manner at all times. You will be adaptable and a good team player and have the ability to plan and prioritise workload. This role requires a lot of care and compassion & a keen interest in making a difference.
