Job Description

At Northampton General Hospital we provide general acute services and hyper-acute stroke, vascular and renal services to people living in Northamptonshire. As well as this we are an accredited cancer centre and provide cancer services to a wider population of Northamptonshire and parts of Buckinghamshire.

We are looking for flexible, enthusiastic and motivated individuals who are interested in a career in Health Care. Experience is preferable but not essential as training will be given. Successful candidates will be expected to undertake the Care Certificate.

The posts are either full time 37.5 hours (long days/nights) or a minimum of 23 hours (2 long days/nights) part-time

Once shortlisted, applicants will be invited to attend the Recruitment Day and complete the Health Care Assistant Math’s and English test, Interview and clearances on:

Saturday 13th April 2019 – 08.00 starts.

Following your commencement of employment in the Trust, all staff will be required to attend the Trust three-week full-time Support Worker Training Programme:

Commencing either June or July 2019 - Monday to Friday 08.30 – 16.30.

The Training Programme focusses on the theoretical and practical aspects of basic nursing care, including the National Care Certificate and the 2 day Trust Induction Programme (where applicable)
