Timeplan is currently working with a large SEN school in Lambeth, who are recruiting for several health care assistants to start ASAP. All positions are full time, ongoing, paid via the agency. Working hours are 8.15am - 4.00pm, Monday - Friday.
This multi-cultural school caters for a diverse group of 2-11-year-olds, providing encouragement and a positive learning environment. Students have a range of needs including ASD, SLD and PMLD. The school's area of expertise is a focus on sensory and physical disabilities, and they offer both pupils and staff all the right resources to succeed.
Shortlisted candidates must have previous SEN experience, especially with PMLD and complex needs. Responsibilities will include completing personal care, such as toileting, dressing and feeding, as well as supporting children in their lessons and therapy sessions. It is imperative you have excellent communication skills, as you will be liaising with outside agencies such as therapists, nurses, and doctors. Written communication skills are key, as you will be required to report on students' progress to both staff and parents. All candidates must have in date manual handling training.

Key skills and experience needed:
- Experience supporting children and young adults with ASD, PMLD and complex needs
- Previous support work within a school or other child related experience
