Job Description

Title: Highly Specialist Physiotherapist
Salary: £40,000pa 
Hours: 40 per week, full time 
Are you looking for a new challenge?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic, Neuro Physiotherapist to join Cygnet Brunel house in Bristol on a permanent basis.


This is a unique role based in a brand new Neuropsychiatric unit.


Cygnet Brunel is a 32 bed service providing neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative rehabilitation for men with mental health difficulties and acquired brain injury.


In this role you will:
To carry out thorough initial assessment for new admissions to the unit

To work closely with specialist members of the MDT (Consultant Neuropsychiatrists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapist, Clinical Psychologists and a dedicated specialist nursing and support team)

To formulate treatment and management plans using experience and evidenced based practice

To provide training and support to members of the MDT

To provide written reports and attend relevant meetings

To contribute to improving the quality of physiotherapy service throughout Cygnet Health


We are looking for people who have:
A degree/post graduate diploma in Physiotherapy

Relevant registration with professional body (HCPC)

At least 2 years of working as a Senior Physiotherapist

Experience of managing complex neurological conditions within a rehabilitation setting

A relevant post graduate qualification (e.g. Bobath, Movement Science, Splinting) is desirable.

Knowledge and understanding of Core Physiotherapy principles and current best practice.

Ability to work individually and as part of an MDT

Experience of working with, and in, challenging and stressful situations.
Requirements:


The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS and reference check and an offer of employment will be subject to successful clearance.
