The Ealing Speech and Language Therapy department is a friendly, enthusiastic team where we strive to provide services of high quality for the diverse population of the London Borough of Ealing. We have various band 7 posts full or part-time positions available.
Ealing Speech and Language Therapy Service is looking for enthusiastic, flexible and innovative therapists with a specialism in working in the following areas: -
4 days are available (1 day permanent and 3 days fixed term until July 2020) to assess and manage caseloads of primary aged children with Moderate to Severe Learning difficulties in two of Ealing’s Special Schools. The post holder will work alongside Parents/Carers, Health and Education professionals involved with the child and offer training to parents/carers/school staff where appropriate. The appointed therapist/s will demonstrate a broad range of skills to work with this client group and will maintain up-to-date knowledge of national guidelines and policies related to service delivery. The post holder will oversee the development of the speech and language therapy service for children with communication needs across these two special schools and support and supervise the junior SLT’s based at these schools.
2 days are available to provide assessment and management of children with complex needs and dysphagia in the community as part of the Early Years Team. This post will require proficient skills in the assessment and management of Swallowing disorders including carrying out video swallows, supporting junior colleagues, continuing to develop the service being offered and working with other members of the multi-disciplinary team. The appointed therapist will maintain up-to-date knowledge of national guidelines and policies related to service delivery.
