Description
The Home Manager in York will;
To maintain a high quality service working in partnership with colleagues to manage services.
To give any medication as prescribed, with proper monitoring of the drug, dose, time, route and person to whom it is given. To ensure the medication is properly taken, and to monitor for any normal, positive or negative effects of that drug.
To have knowledge of and the use of any equipment within the home. To check its usability weekly.
To be knowledgeable regarding emergency procedures pertaining to our service user group.
To respond to the spiritual, emotional, physical and mental needs of the service user.
To liaise with the service users, GP's and other multidisciplinary team members to promote good care.
To make sure all goods and equipment to be used within the span of duty and beyond are available.
To investigate complaints, and follow procedures for their resolution.
To be involved in the selection of staff.
To foster good working relationships.
To develop training methods for the improvement of service users' rehabilitative processes, with hands-on involvement as required.
To teach relevant information and knowledge to other staff.
To Increase revenue by achieving the highest possible occupancy levels, through a focussed marketing programme which will include the maximising fees.
To ensure that quality audits are carried out monthly and that external audits are undertaken when requested.
To influence and monitor care, utilising the nursing process if required.
To write reports on daily events.
Maintain own personal development in relation to training and social care by reading relevant documentation, attending meetings and relevant courses.
Build a professional working relationship with service users, colleagues and relevant professionals.
