My client, a Nursing home in the outskirts of Burnley are looking for a Home Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. They are looking for someone who is passionate, motivated and brings energy and commitment to the role and is looking to deliver excellent customer service. You will be confident and conversant with CQC. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the home and to develop the philosophy of care and business management to enable the home to meet CQC requirements.

 

Salary: Circa £47,299 per annum

Essential requirements:

  • Previous experience of managing a Care Home.
  • Understanding of the compliance guidelines and safeguarding and implementing National Minimum standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have a valid NMC pin number
  • Be committed and dedicated to the role.
  • Satisfactory Disclosure completion upon successful application
  • Right to work in the UK
  • To qualify for the role, you will have:
  • Demonstrable track record of CQC compliance as a Registered Care Home Manager
  • Working with people whom suffer with dementia
  • Experience of supervising staff and co-ordinating support provisions
  • Experience of working with people aged 50 and above
  • Understanding of the requirements and impact of GDPR
  • Appropriate qualifications on Nursing or Social Care
  • Specialist knowledge – requirements of latest care standards & relevant legislation


Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage a team in a care home environment promoting the best quality of life
  • Comply with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct at all times
  • Ensure that all residents have full risk assessments and person-centred care plans in place and that these are regularly reviewed and updated
  • Effective at identifying and resolving difficult situations
  • Keeping accurate records and maintaining standards throughout the home in every department and always looking to improve practices, procedures and motivating staff to maintain the home’s values and standards.
  • Training staff to improve skill sets
  • Developing with the senior care team clear policies and practices regarding quality standards.
  • Working within a budget
  • Promote resident independence and respect their dignity and choices at all times
  • Recruit, train and supervise the care and domestic staff working within the home and create a strong core team working in harmony and professionally at all times.
  • Work in line with Company policies and procedures
