We are looking for an individual with extensive management experience in healthcare to join the senior management team as the Hospital Manager at a fully compliant, state-of-the-art hospital that specialises in ophthalmology in Kendal.
You will be joining a nationally recognised, market leading company who have won awards for their high standard of patient care and staff development. The Hospital Manager will directly run the hospital, ensuring they are run efficiently, staffed correctly and are operating in line with CQC standards. As well the Hospital Manager will complete staff rotas, keep a close eye on stock control and ensure audits are carried out and completed.
Experience in each of these areas is therefore essential. You will also provide support and guidance to your team with the support of their Area Manager Some flexibility with travel is essential as they will be required to travel to Bolton as required for Clinical Governance or Operations meetings as well as supporting external, local nursing/recruitment events.
The Hospital Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of SpaMedica and Freedom Vision at each site. This role may suit a nurse, senior healthcare assistant, allied healthcare professional or a person with prior experience of managing healthcare businesses.
The post holder must obtain and maintain the CQC registered manager status.
Fantastic Salary Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm Supportive Senior Management Ongoing Training and Development Company sick pay 5.6 weeks' holiday allowanceAs the Hospital Manager you will; Monitor key operational standards, both clinical and corporate, to ensure that the quality of care delivered at the site meets regulatory, statutory and other recognised standards. You will work closely with registered managers at other sites to share learning and benchmark yourself against other sites and national datasets. Your target will be to obtain a minimum of 'good' rating through your location CQC inspections. You will be responsible for the delivery of safe clinical governance and feed in to the group clinical governance framework, ensuring you and your team submit your data for the quarterly clinical governance meetings. You will ensure that your site is fully compliant with the required safety standards. This will include ensuring the building and equipment are well maintained. You will need to work closely with the Head of Facilities to ensure timely maintenance is carried out.
