HSEQ Advisor - Civil Engineering

We are currently recruiting for a dynamic and driven Health & Safety Advisor to work with a leading multi-disciplinary Civil Engineering business. You will have a strong determination to ensure this business and their sites always adheres to and exceeds the expectations of Health & Safety policy, and will do whatever it takes to make sure this is the case.

About the Client:
We are a leading provider of specialist construction services working with an array of clients from SME's through to Blue-chip Tier Ones. With a growing turnover now in excess of £100m, over 20 company accreditations and an established and highly competent Health & Safety team in place, we ensure the highest levels of Health & Safety and efficiency across all of our high and low risk sites.

About the Role:
Carrying out risk assessments and considering how risks could be reduced
Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards
Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
Making changes to working practices that are safe and comply with legislation
In-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks; this can include the updating of company training plans and data base systems.
Keeping records of inspection findings and producing reports that suggest improvements
Recording of incidents and accidents and putting remedial actions into place
Being up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all HSE legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry
Advising on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases

About the Candidate:
Experience with Civil Engineering projects
Holder of NEBOSH in Construction, ideally holding or working towards NVQ Lvl 6 / NEBOSH Diploma
Highly PC literate as you will be expected to use multiple PC based systems
Holder of CSCS card
Understanding of risks associated with working at height
Currently reside within a commutable distance of London
