Independent Reviewing Officer Service Care Solutions are actively recruiting for an Independent Reviewing Officer for Children's Services. This is a permanent full time position, and the successful post holder must have excellent front-line practice skills. HOW TO APPLY - Please send your up to date cv to [ Email address blocked ] or alternatively call Jennifer on 01772 208964 for more information on the role Role Requirements & Responsibilities •Substantial post qualification experience in children's social work with evidence of direct work with looked after children, children subject to child protection plans and their parents/carers •Ability to work efficiently and effectively within statutory time scales to produce SMART care and protection plans •Ability to work in partnership with parents and work together with multi-agency/disciplinary partners •Social work qualification and active SW England registration •Evidence of continuing professional development •Well-developed written, oral and presentation skills •Knowledge of the quality assurance function of the IRO/CPA role with relevant audit skills •To contribute to CYPS arrangements for audits, quality assurance exercises and individual performance management to ensure high quality decision making, planning and provision of services to continually improve outcomes for children •To provide consultation with Social Workers, Managers and other professionals to provide advice and guidance •To attend and advise the multi-agency network regarding care planning •To chair secure accommodation planning meetings and secure accommodation reviews •To ensure children and young people are aware of their right to advocacy, independent visiting, use of complaints system and know how to access these services About Haringey We are investing in creating a better borough for all our residents and bettering the lives of children and young people in Haringey is our first corporate priority.
