Intensive Care Nurse-London

At TTM Healthcare we are proud to have partnered with one of London's oldest Hospitals, located in the heart of London, specialising in Medical and Surgical care. RESPONSIBILITIES:

The overall responsibility within this role to work in their 13 bedded state of the art Intensive Care Unit based in Central London.

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting into the senior staff nurses and the ward manager will be responsible for planning and delivering appropriate care for admissions and discharges to the unit. You will work to ensure that the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of each patient is in line with evidence based practices. You will have an innate ability to quickly identify any issues or concerns and act accordingly. Working as part of the team you will be competent across Venepuncture, Cannulation and Phlebotomy, carrying out these tasks on a daily basis while maintaining a safe environment for patients under your care. You will also be assigned other ad hoc duties as required by senior members of staff.

EDUCATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Nursing Degree
NMC Registration

REQUIREMENTS:

To be eligible for the role, you will need to:

• 1-year post grad experience working in an ICU department or acute high dependency unit
• Experience with IV, Phlebotomy and Cannulation, as well as experience of dealing with complex care patients, Level 2 & 3
• Be a caring and compassionate nurse with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
• A good team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
