Trust Grade Doctor (ST1/2 equivalent) in Neurosurgery
The Neurosurgery department at Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust is looking to recruit trust grade doctors at ST1-2 or equivalent level at Charing Cross Hospital. These roles will be for 12 months initially.
This clinical directorate provides specialist management for the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with a wide range of neurological and neurosurgical conditions, stroke, and brain and spine injuries. We offer comprehensive neurological and neurosurgical services for our local population and surrounding District Hospitals.
During your time in this position, weekly teaching will be provided to broaden your knowledge within the Neurosciences field. Prior extensive knowledge is not expected, however experience with the initial treatment of an acutely deteriorating medical patient is beneficial.
Duties will include looking after patients on our neurosurgical wards, carrying out neurosurgical pre-assessments as well as looking after pre and post op neurosurgical patients in collaboration with SpR colleagues as well as data collection for department and clinical trials. Depending on previous experience, you may also be involved with work in clinics and operating lists.
