Job Description

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides services through its three hospitals in Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester. We provide all general hospital services for planned and emergency care as well as specialist services.


Applications are required for the post of Junior Clinical Fellow for the Respiratory Ambulatory Care Unit situated on E3.

This is a fixed term post until August 2020. The hours are across Monday to Friday from 8am -5pm. There is an opportunity to cover additional shift work outside of these hours if required.

Inclusion on the general medical on-call rota will be available to either opt in or out. This will create additional enhancements to your basic salary.


The work will be based in the Acute Ambulatory Care Unit as the service continues to develop. The work reviews patients that may be discharged early from the ward with this support in place, review other more routine patients discharged from the ward but also to monitor patients who are known to potentially require frequent admissions and to work on admission avoidance where possible. There may also be a requirement to assist the respiratory team covering their general ward activity during other times.
