Our client is looking to recruit a member of staff to join their busy laboratory near Cambridge. You will be required to carry out various lab investigations and analysis of clinical information in order to diagnose, treat and research diseases.
You will be expected to work both individually and as part of a laboratory team; work streams include bacteriology and serology so handling of biological samples is expected. Previous laboratory experience is essential. #
Due to the location of our client you will need access to your own transport.
Receipt (logging of) new samples and processing of routine swabs. Testing and analysis of samples and maintenance of records Rapid plate Agglutination MG/MS Liaising with other departments to solve issues and enquiries Interpret and analyse results and record results appropriately. Observe and records vital data and administration of clinical information as required. Operate, maintain, and clean the laboratory and research equipment. Arrange to send samples for further testing when needed Maintain the laboratory and supplies, and prepares culture media, solutions, and reagents. Adhere to, and review lab safety & systems to ensure the lab meets Health & Safety Person Specification
Good problem solving skills.
