Lead Divisional Pharmacist- Clinical Commissioning and Homecare - Band 8B
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the recruitment of a full time pharmacist to join the Pharmacy Department at Chelsea and Westminster Foundation NHS Trust. The post will be predominately based at the Chelsea site however it will be a Trust wide role and will require some presence on the West Middlesex site.
We are looking for a qualified senior pharmacist with experience in clinical commissioning. You will be highly self-motivated, have excellent interpersonal/communication skills and possess sound clinical knowledge. You will be an active member of the Trust Medicine Optimisation Steering Group and will be expected to produce monthly reports on High cost Drugs (HCDS) as well as articulate the strategic direction of the management of HCDs and homecare provision.
You will work closely with NHSE and CCGs as well as provide advice and support to facilitate high quality, evidence-based safe and cost effective use of medicines and provide practical help and guidance to consultants and other members of multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
An independent prescribing qualification would be an advantage, although it is not essential. You will need to combine excellent verbal and written communication skills with sound clinical knowledge and computer literacy.
