Poole is not just a great place to work – it is also a fabulous place to live. Poole Hospital is located next to the 2nd largest harbour in the world and is centrally situated between bustling urban areas and the beautiful Dorset countryside. We enjoy some of the best weather in the UK.
Poole Maternity is regarded as a friendly unit to work in, with great team spirit on the Labour Ward amongst the multi-disciplinary team. We offer opportunities at band 7 level to develop the leadership skills required to progress further in your career.
If you are interested in relocation to Poole please speak to our Maternity Matron, Vicky Garner who will explain what we can offer to help with a move to Poole. Informal visits welcomed.
Poole Maternity Service provides a full range of midwifery care and is the obstetric centre for high risk care across East Dorset. The service delivers care to in excess of 5000 women per annum. Of these women, 4600 give birth on the Poole Maternity site. The Maternity Unit achieved Baby Friendly full Accreditation in July 2016 and was rated ‘good’ in the CQC inspection in the same year. It is an innovative time to join our team at Poole as we begin to collaborate with The Royal Bournemouth Hospital Maternity team as part of the Dorset Clinical Services Review.
