What you'll be doing

In this role, you will be an influential role and recognized as being critical to the delivery of Bupa Cromwell Hospital’s Strategy. You would be a team player who treats all colleagues with equal respect, is inclusive and democratic but also prepared to manage staff to ensure the delivery of efficient and effective services. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for advancing change in four main areas of impact – quality, patient experience, finance and efficiency, and leadership and skills development.

What’s a typical day?

You will demonstrate clinical expertise in nursing management, including infection prevention and the implementation of policies and SOPs for safe practice Eg. WHO surgical checklist. In collaboration with the Clinical Director and other consultants maintain a robust clinical governance system you will assure patients of the highest standard of care acting within an assurance framework. You would be accountable for ensuring that all safety alerts and national guidance is implemented and adhered to Eg., NPSA, NICE, NECPOD. In addition to this you would facilitate the cascade of information by ensuring awareness of Division and Hospital initiatives, support staff discussion and respond to feedback. Working  within an agreed clinical model to ensure the effective delivery and recording of a high quality nursing service would also form part of the role.

Job Requirements

Who we’re looking for?

  • Registered Nurse
  • Evidence of substantial clinical experience and ability to function at level required of the post
  • Experience of developing, delivering, monitoring and evaluating training programmes with clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Knowledge of NMC codes and guidelines and their implications for practice
  • Good financial awareness and control
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal presentation skills and report writing
