Description: We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Ophthalmic Nurse (RN/ODP) to join a leading private healthcare organisation in Wales!

Working as a Lead Ophthalmic Nurse (RN/ODP) you will be an expert in your field and will lead & develop a busy ophthalmic theatre service with the support of the team around you.

This hospital comprises of two purpose-built hospitals and takes great pride in providing patients with a personalised service and the highest standards of clinical excellence. The site has a special focus on orthopaedic joint replacement, spinal surgery, ophthalmology, urology, gynaecology, and general surgery. It has recently identified as one of the top 30 most technologically advanced hospitals in the world.

Due to planned expansion, you will have the opportunity to work on a varied caseload using technology, equipment and facilities which are state-of-the-art. As a Lead Ophthalmic Nurse (RN/ODP) will also be responsible for the supervision, support, and development of junior staff, and will ensure the delivery of high-quality care and experiences for patients, which is always clinically effective, evidence based and appropriate.

This is a Full-Time role (37.5hrs per week).

Monday – Friday with no weekend working!

Person Specification: To succeed in this role you will need:

To be registered scrub Theatre Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner, you’ll have the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC.
To have post-registration experience, be an excellent communicator and team worker – flexible and motivated.
You will have demonstrable specialist experience as a Subject Matter Expert
Possess leadership/management experience
