HCL Healthcare are working with a Wrexham based private organisation looking for a Lead Psychologist to work on a 14 month contract. We are looking for someone to start from 1st March either on a fixed term contract or locum basis.

About the role

We are looking for someone to be responsible for the management and delivery of a quality psychological service. The post holder will be an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team and will be responsible for determining and meeting the psychological needs of the patient group. Currently there are two full-time established Assistant Psychologists in post and the Psychologist will be responsible for their clinical supervision and line management.

It is envisaged the Psychologist will have been appropriately trained and with the relevant experience to lead in this programme. The Psychologist will be supported in accessing external clinical supervision for DBT and other clinical responsibilities if required.

Furthermore, the Psychologist will be taking an active role in supporting the Nursing Team and MDT in risk assessment and management processes and provide relevant staff training as and when required. The Psychologist will be responsible for co-ordinating audits and there is also opportunity to conduct research within the company.

All of our candidates will need:

  • The right to work in the UK
  • Experience in the NHS
  • An enhanced DBS
  • Current HCPC registration
