We are seeking an enthusiastic consultant colleague to join our existing Urological and gynaecological malignancy teams. This post is fixed term for 6 months, with the potential to extend, and we will potentially be looking to fill this role substantively in future.

There is a centralised MDT at which all gynaecological ptients are discussed. Urology has joint MDT with Isle of Wight and a separate MDT at Chichester.Clinics run at each site with chemotherapy treatment day units at each hospital, All radiotherapy is delivered at Portsmouth. Brachytherapy program is established for both prostate cancer and gynaecological treatments.
The MDT includes a committed team of specialist surgeons; laparoscopic and robotic surgery programms are well developed, dedicated speciality radiologists with interventional radiology committment , medical & clinical oncology and CNS team. Both urology and gynaecology teams are a research active teams with a broad portfolio of clinical studies and strong track record of recruitment to clinical trials.
We are keen to develop and embrace new ways of working with enhanced radiographer and nursing roles to ensure cancer services that best meets patients needs and service demands.
This is a 10 PA post: Candidates wishing to work less than 10 PAs are most welcome to discuss their requirements with the department.
We are committed to expanding our clinical oncology provision in both urological & gynaecological malignancy and very happy to discuss options of alternative additional subspeciality interests with candidates interested in either disease area.
