Our well established, high performing Dermatology service based at Kingston Hospital provides assessment and management as part of a regional system of care focused on improving population health locally and regionally.

Kingston Hospital is a district general hospital delivering a wide range of services as a spoke hospital of the South West London (SWL) region. The department runs busy multidisciplinary clinics provided by a dedicated multidisciplinary team of medical clinicians, in conjunction with a full range of allied health care professionals and specialist nurses.

The department offers a comprehensive range of services including phototherapy, photodynamic therapy, surgery and topical treatments to patients with acute and chronic skin disease including skin cancer and wounds. Services are provided at Kingston Hospital and local community hospitals and healthcare centres and our multi-disciplinary team, are all highly qualified, friendly and have access to the advanced technology and equipment.

The Dermatology team at Kingston Hospital has a proven educational track record, supporting medical students, junior surgeons in training, training registrars and supporting extended scope of skills development amongst allied healthcare professionals and nurses.

The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse with a minimum 3 years post registration experience and a non-medical prescribing qualification, with the ability to organise their time efficiently, work independently as well as in part of a team. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, a good working knowledge of assessment and management within a dermatology setting and be able provide evidence of caring for patients within specific skin-care management needs.

The successful candidate will be supported to develop their CPD and will be encouraged to link in with the Trust's many audit and research opportunities. There is a well-equipped Postgraduate Centre with library and audiovisual facilities on site
