Job Description

Maintenance Engineer

Permanent staff

We’re looking for a Maintenance Engineer with a multi-skilled (mechanical / electrical) background to join our Cheshire based client on a permanent staff basis to support their World Class manufacturing facility.

What does the job involve?

Plan and schedule maintenance work for a small team.

Review work requests and arrange for preparation and completion.

Undertake planned preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, repair activities and inspection routines on facilities and equipment.

Maintain equipment in accordance with the planned schedules and adhering to site and corporate safety and cGMP standards.

Undertake non-routine improvement work on facilities and equipment.

To undertake installation, commissioning and qualification activities

Improve operation of site services plant and equipment through the application of problem solving and continuous improvement techniques.

What skills and experience do you need?

5+ years’ post-apprenticeship experience in a process plant / manufacturing environment.

Apprenticeship or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.

Multi-skilled background with a bias towards mechanical engineering.

Computer literate – able to use general software including maintenance planning tools.

Capable of operating in a multi-skilled environment with a high degree of ‘troubleshooting’ skills combined with the ability to make decisions and operate with minimum supervision.

Strong team player with open communication style, capable of directing others.
