Support Worker (MALE ONLY)
£8.35 an hour plus fantastic benefits
Do you have a passion to help others? Want to give something positive back? Help our Award winning charity to support and empower people with learning disabilities - it's one of the most heartfelt feelings in the world and something that will stay with you forever...
We have an exciting opportunity for a male Support Worker to join our brand new service based in Bury.
We're looking for a kind and caring support worker to come and help assist our gentleman who is making the move from living in a hospital setting into his own home. This really is a fantastic opportunity to support him to build a life that is meaningful to him.
The shifts are worked on a rota basis which include days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. (2/3 per week). There are some long shifts involved - 08:30 - 22:00.
We are an Award winning Charity that has the core belief that everyone has potential, something to offer and a valuable contribution to make to their community.
We use a person centered approach to keep the people we support safe, happy and healthy and to ensure each individual is able to live a life that makes sense to them. Using a Positive Behavior Support strategy ensures we see the person first, not their disability.
What we need from you
Firstly, you don't need experience to become a Support Worker but it's not easy. The work can be demanding and challenging at times but no 2 days are the same and the reward of seeing YOUR personal impact is incredibly inspiring and it's something you'll never forget.
As long as you have the passion and drive to want to make a real difference, we'll teach you the rest. Just bring your good heart, your sense of humour and caring nature! With your key attributes and our training, together we can deliver the best possible support.
