Our client, an innovator in oncology dedicated to improving the lives of cancer patients, is looking to source the right candidate to fill the role of Device Support Specialist to be based in London supporting patients and their families through their treatment journey.
This role will be covering the London area mainly, with a monthly trip to Manchester required also. All expenses covered alongside a competitive hourly rate.
oTake responsibility for planning and carrying out patient visits at intervals of 4 weeks (2 weeks for clinical patients), including the organisation of the required material. oProvide patient and family training and refresher courses for all client medical devices. oCarry out regular status checks of the therapy device and replace defective devices/components. oDeal with troubleshooting for the equipment at the patient's home according to a defined procedure and ensure close co-operation with GTS (Global Technical Support). oDownload and interpret device data from the therapy device. oProvide general support and point of contact for patients (commercial and study patients). oProvide on-site patient support, if necessary after normal office hours, at weekends and on public holidays. oTake part in patient events (nurse days, doctor certification, trade fairs) oParticipate to SIV (site initiation visits) for clinical trials oWork independently in a specific area as well as have a willingness to help out in other regions (if necessary). oEnsure close cooperation with the relevant DSS contact within the company. oTake care of administrative activities, such as the drawing up expense reports, equipment management, purchasing of office supplies for the home office, etc. oRecord patient interventions in the CRM/SAP. oBook all material movements in the CRM/SAP. oEnsure colleague cover in the event of absence (holiday)
Qualifications: oIdeally you will have completed some training in a health care capacity. oTechnical Flair - be comfortable with working with new technology and understanding when faults occur and how to troubleshoot efficiently. oProfessional experience in dealing with patients and their wider families. oGood computer knowledge and skills, in particular knowledge of Microsoft Windows and MS Office and the willingness to work with other programs. oA valid driving license
