Our client are a Special Education School and College based in Hampshire. They provide young people with physical disabilities with education, care, therapy, medical support and independence training.
They are recruiting for a Medicine Management Technician/Pharmacy Dispenser to support the provision of medicines, working closely with the onsite GP, clinical and care teams.
As Medicines Management Technician/Pharmacy Dispenser you will transcribe the medicines onto the electronic system on a daily basis, order and manage the supply of student medicines and conduct regular medicine audits.
The key duties of the Medicines Management Technician/Pharmacy Dispenser will include;
Transcribing medicines onto the electronic medicine system on a daily basis
Ordering a managing the supply pf student’s medicine
Performing medicine audits
Implementing policies and procedures and propose improvements
Generating prescriptions for the GP and requesting additional prescriptions when stock is running low
Providing prescribing advice and prompting a medical review when required
Providing assessment, advice and treatment to students
In order to be considered for this Medicines Management Technician/Pharmacy Dispenser opportunity you will have the following;
Pharmacy Technician with a BTEC or NVQ 3 (or equivalent pharmacy technician qualification) in pharmaceutical sciences)
Minimum of one years’ post-qualification experience
Experience of electronic medicines administration system (CareMeds or eMAR desirable)
Ability to work autonomously, unsupervised
Skilled professional communication
